Located on the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the Maison de l'Infante enjoys an absolutely unique setting, offering panoramic views of the bay, the Basque mountains, the fishing port, and the historic heart of the town. From its famous watchtower, the residence boasts one of the finest views on the entire Basque coast. Built around 1640, this prestigious house hosted Infanta Maria Theresa of Austria, future wife of Louis XIV, in 1660 on the occasion of their royal wedding. A landmark of Basque heritage, it combines period architecture, historical prestige, and modern functionality. The Maison de l'Infante spans four levels of approximately 250 m² each. On the ground floor, there are three commercial units with display windows facing the Quai de l'Infante and Place Louis XIV, offering excellent visibility. The first floor features a series of three adjoining rooms, including a vestibule, the Infanta's chamber, and the large “beamed room” with its remarkable character, as well as a three-room apartment overlooking the port. The second floor houses a spacious apartment with four bedrooms and beautiful views of the fishing port and Place Louis XIV. Finally, the third floor includes two apartments: one overlooking the port with three rooms, and another four-room triplex offering exceptional views, located across the third floor, the square tower, and the watchtower. All floors offer unobstructed views of the Ciboure port and the Pyrenees. From the square tower, one can enjoy exceptional views of the bay, the port, the town, and the surrounding mountains.
